Re: 420 day -- here's the 'audio stream' for 'that' -- I was in high school |
According to eTree, Deadlists, and DeadBase, The Grateful Dead played on 420 Day - April 20th - only 4 damn times in 30 years.
1968 - Thee Image, Miami Beach, Miami, FL;
1969 - Atwood Hall, Clark University, Worcester, MA;
1983 - Providence Civic Center, Providence, RI; and
1984 - Civic Convention Hall Auditorium, Philadelphia, PA.

The 1968 show apparently was not taped. The venue is named and other artists are listed. No setlist appears. As a result, the 1969 show, imo, is virtually priceless. You can find the lossless audio for this show being seeded by The_Bus. It is bundled into GD project 1969 - part 1. If you only want this show, Do This: Open this torrent, then "select none" right away. Browse the list of shows included in the torrent. Locate the Worcester Show, and select this one alone. It's called "cherry-picking." I just finished leeching it moments ago, and now you can too. Best damn way to Celebrate 420 Day!
